I cook, I create, I’m incredibly excited by what I do, I’ve still got a lot to achieve. – Gordon Ramsey
Food. For some people, eating it is an addiction, but for me, it’s all about the preparation.
My name is Rebecca Tanner, a stay-at-home mom that loves to cook for her husband and kids.
In the afternoon, I work as a beginning chef in a cafeteria in a school, which I’m enjoying a lot. Feeding students healthy, but also tasty, meals gives me a lot of satisfaction.
I have started Mom Teaches Food as I have plenty of free time next to my job which only takes place in the afternoon, and also because I like to teach people new skills.
My goal with this blog is to teach people the tricks that are possible with food, such as reheating, and selecting suited substitutes when a certain ingredient is suddenly not in your pantry.
Some of my favorite meals
I have a couple of favorite meals, that I like to enjoy multiple times a month.
My favorite meal, to both eat and prepare, is Tikka masala. I am in love with the combination of taste between the different ingredients, and so are my husband and kids. Whenever you join us for dinner, chances are about 1 in 10 that this will be served.
In this family, we are all soup lovers. If we have friends or family coming over for dinner, expect a soup as the starter dish.
